Hadi Onimisi Tijjani is an Ebira from Okene, Kogi State. A student of LLB 4 in his early twenties. He is the ACADEMIC DIRECTOR OF NAMLAS-BUK AND LAWSAN-BUK and a well known academic tutor he is interested in Public Speaking, Counselling and Staying Happy!

 

Amusan Tawfiiq ’Lekan is a passionate Final Year Student of the Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano, with a major knack for excellence.

His long-term affiliation with the Law firm of Alimi Kolapo & Co.— a reputable Law firm in Oshogbo, Osun state— has imbued him with not only the fanciful level of awareness but also the scintillating aura of professionalism that should be the hallmark a 21st Century (student) legal practitioner. While still beaming his searchlight on the other areas of practice, he already sees himself to be having a soft spot for Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Tax Law and Intellectual Property Law.

Of all the not-so-important endeavours, to him, football is the most important. So, if he’s not watching football, he’s definitely doing a more important thing: sleeping, writing or editing. He has a considerable number of articles to his credit, published and unpublished, featuring him on reputable news platforms such as Insightlinks, TheLoyalNigeriaLawyer, BarristerNg, TheNigeriaLawyer as well as in notable prints like WriCon Quarterly Journal, INSU Echo Magazine and so on.

Muhammad Yasir Abubakar, SABUK, OOL is a Penultimate Law student of Bayero University, Kano (BUK). Yasir has a great penchant for Knowledge, Research, Writing and Advocacy. He has over four (4) years Internship/Paralegal Experience, having worked with several Law firms across the country, some of which are Musa, Akun, Ahmed & Co. (Ummah Chambers), Sodangi A. Danso & Co. (Fadila Chambers), Idi Danabubakar & Co. (Kainuwa Chambers) and Digital Rights Lawyers Initiative (DRLI) amongst others, all in his quest for excellence.

Yasir has been in active student legal practice since his Level 100 and has led teams that represented Bayero University, Kano (BUK) and won several Inter-Chambers and Inter-University Moot Competitions. He has equally represented various Associations within the University at the Bayero University Union Court. 

• HONOURS & AWARDS

In recognition of his Excellent Advocacy skills, dedication and commitment towards developing and encouraging legal practice within the University, he was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Bayero University Kano (SABUK) at Level 300. Very recently, he was awarded as one of the Top 50 Outstanding and Exceptional Law Undergraduates in Nigeria by the Legal Eagles Initiative in Conjunction with the L.M.T Academy.

• LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Yasir has held and is still holding several Leadership positions. He is currently the LAWSAN National Director of Students’ Rights, Program Officer of the Bayero University Law Clinic, Director of Research & Litigation, Liberty Chambers, Chairman, Moot/Mock Trials Committee and Consultant, Internship/Mentorship Committee Bayero University, Kano amongst many others.

Mustapha Babalola Toheeb is a Pupil of law and award winning writer. He has interned with foreign law firms like Latham and Watkins and White & Case LLP. He has also interned with Digital Rights Initiative, IPC,Libra Legal Consultants,A.A Hikima & Co, A.A Via &Co, A.A Baruwa & Co and recently the top tier corporate law firm, Oake Legal. He recently interned with  G.Elias &Co, a tier 1 law firm and one of Nigeria’s leading law firms. The firm is a Nigerian member of the Africa Legal Network (“ALN”), an alliance of leading independent top tier African law firms. 

He was awarded the prestigious LAWSAN Legal Writer of the Year, 2021 and he was also named as one of the Most Outstanding Law Undergraduates,2021 by the q Iwanitiative and LawVerse.

He has written close to 20 articles majority of which are on law matters and they have been published in popular news platforms like Nigerialawyer.com, barristerNg amongst others.

MOHAMMED AWWAL is a passionate and purpose driven 400L student of  Faculty of Law, Bayero University Kano, whose career prospects focuses on environmental protection thereby ensuring we leave in a clean and healthy environment. His participation in series of workshops/ seminars that borders majorly on environmental issues has earned him recognition and praises from many people. Aside that, he is interested in advocating for Human Rights and good governance. Notwithstanding, he advocates for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as oppose to endless litigation.

• EXPERIENCES

Experience they said is the greatest teacher, from the very first stage of my career, I have not only been privileged, but has been found worthy by God and men to lead in various capacities and garnered experience which has informed my decision makings. Prior to my admission into Bayero University Kano, I have served as different Students Association; STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT, CREATIVE WRITERS CLUB, DEBATE CLUB, etc

Upon my admission into Faculty of Law BUK, I have held many leadership position which has horned my skills.

👉Registrar to the Former Executive Director Liberty Chamber's.

👉Financial Secretary Caretaker Committee CTC Faculty of Law.

👉A clarion call from my State Association to serve in my chapter; National Association of Niger State Law Students'(NANIGLAWS) as the Public Relations Officer, and subsequently Assistant Secretary General, Bayero University Kano chapter. 

Later on, my performance and good records earn me the highly coveted office of the  National General Secretary.

Arafat Safiyya Abubakar, is a level 400 student.

The Founder of the popular confectionary brand Sugarella Sweets and Bakes. An excellent student and entrepreneur who is doing exceptionally well in balancing her academics and business.

Amadi Jeremiah Chukwuebuka here, also nicknamed Brownfield by friends. I'm a Copywriter and an E-Commerce store builder, I help small business owners with the employment of effective marketing strategies, building of E-commerce store, setting up of one page website, writing of Ad Copies and sales page content to boost their sales online.

I'm also a Cover Letter/Curriculum Vitae writer and coach who have for over three years helped my clients and clienteles to land their dream Jobs/Internships in various top tier firms in Nigeria. I've also trained students on this area of expertise with proven results. I'm also an erotic poet striving to have a voice in the world of Love, Erotic and Romance poetry.

Least I forget, I'm the founder of Milky Date Tombrown Food, now known as Orgenic Fast Food, a business that deals in the production of a naturally processed food called Tombrown. 

And most importantly, I'm a foodie and a Gym enthusiast.

Hauwa Ahmad Muhd is an indigene of Kano State, is currently final year law student at Bayero University, Kano where she currently serves as the Executive Director,Liberty Chambers (one of the student chambers), Welfare Secretary FLF and Financial Secretary NAKLAWS. She has held various positions within and outside the faculty. Amongst which are; 

1. She was the former Deputy Director of Publicity, Liberty Chambers 

2. she was one time Vice President, LAWSAN, BUK chapter

3. one time Director Operations of Liberty Chambers 

4. one time secretary of publicity and publication of the Bayero University Law Clinic.

6. one time vice president of Zero Tolerance for Corruption Club, BUK.

In her quest for ensuring justice and contributing to the development of the soceity, she under took a program "Access to justice among pretrial inmates for the indigents persons in kurmawa central correctional center in kano state.

# an awardee of 'access to justice program ' a project of the Bayero University law clinic which is aimed at providing access to just for the indigents persons in kano kurmawa center correctional facility. 

Hauwa Ahmad Muhd is currently an intern in Mycermary Chamber and co, Kano State. She is a volunteer of  CAJA( Center for Awareness,Accountability and Justice), a civil society organization based in kano aimed at promoting justice, accountability and awareness in the soceity.

Abdullahi Faruk, alias Sen. Mutum, is a transformational student unionist, renown and revered amidst comrades. Currently in the final year of an LLB Program at Bayero University. He exudes an aura of Confidence. Integrity, Empathy and Emotional intelligence. He is seasoned with Exceptional Leadership Prowess and employs a Pragmatic Approach to tackling issues. 

He Is a passionate gentleman who had been keenly involved in university politics as well as chamber activities as far back as his first year on campus. Thus he has attended and participated in series of LAWSAN National Conventions. NAMLAS Conferences, Law Clinic Outreaches/Seminars. Chambers Programs/ Moot Sessions etc. 

• HIS ANTECEDENTS 

✓ He served as the Assistant Secretary General, NAMLAS BUK 2018/2019

 ~ He served as the Faculty Senator (LAW) at the Students' Representative Assembly SUG - BUK were he returned as the Chairman, Constitutional Review Committee 2018/2019. 

✓ He held the office of Assistant Secretary General, Caretaker Committee, Students' Union Government. Bayero University 2018/2019. 

✓ He is the immediate past Financial Secretary, NAMLAS BUK 2019/2020/2021. 

✓ He had always rallied for support from Senators and friends in other faculties and institutions to the successful candidature of comrades and Senators from faculty of law to steering roles in the LAWSAN NATIONAL as well as SRA/SUG BUK .

✓ He is a  Recipient of several merit awards and service certificates from a cluster of associations and bodies within and without the environs of the university. Most notably, he was recently  AWARDED AS PRESIDENT OF THE YEAR 2021. by the LAWSAN National Body.

Few days ago, Abdullahi Faruk was conferred with the title of Jerman Nupe BUK by the president Nupe Students Association of BUK

Toheerat Kemi Adegbiji is currently a 400level law undergraduate of BUK, Kano State. She had Diploma in Shari'a and Common Law from Kwara state college of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies with Distinction honours. She hails from Sepeteri area of Saki East Local Goverment, Oyo State; Nigeria.

She is an ISERH Associate  Ambassador.

She had served in different capacities such as Personal Assistance to the National Director of Student's Right of Law Student Association of Nigeria, General secretary constitution review committee, Treasurer and Vice Chairman Education Committee all of Federation of Oyo State Students (FOSSU) BUK chapter; Deputy Director of protocol Liberty Chambers, faculty of law, Bayero University Kano ;among others. 

Currently, she is serving as Vice President Student Union Bar Association, Directress of Ex-chequer Liberty Chambers faculty of law Bayero University Kano; inter Alia.

She is a member of Liberty Chambers BUK, member of judiciary, education

Halima Ummi Ismail is a Penultimate Law Student  from Bayero University, Kano.

She is an ardent writer and researcher. Over the years, Halima has written various articles bothering on divergent areas of Law, her main area of focus being Artificial Intelligence, Technology Law, Block chain Technology, Human Rights, and Corporate Practice.

In her quest to increase her knowledge of the Law and Corporate Practice, Halima has interned with Omaplex Law Firm where she was exposed to various areas of the Law and Corporate Practice.

She has also interned with Hilton Top Solicitors, a Law Firm which specializes in Blockchain Practice.

In her quest to understand Human Rights and how it operates in a digital world, she has interned with Digital Rights Lawyers' Initiative. Halima is currently serving as the Secretary General, Tax Club Bayero University, Kano.

The AG in Level 100 together with some gallant members of his class who subscribe to Al-Maslaha took a legal fight against the then shura council for the production of the chamber ID card which was successfully archived

The AG in his Level 200 together with the current PP equity Chambers emerge the best mooter during the 2nd-semester Equity General Mooting competition with total marks of 95%
