CHASING SHADOWS

CHASING SHADOWS

You think you were born to impress,

All you want to do is oppress.

You believe that’s how you’ll progress,

But when asked to redress, you neglect.

You ignore advice from family

And follow your friends’ counsel blindly,

Just to fit in and impress.

The fear of being left behind

Leads to depression and stress.

Your relationships are built on lies,

Backstabbing, and deceit,

Roofed by betrayal.

You think you're somebody,

But you're just trying to please others.

When you become a burden,

You'll be cast aside,

Sinking into depression.

False impressions and oppression

Will force you to rethink your actions.

You'll realize too late

You weren't born to impress,

But to progress.

Now, it's time to redress,

Repent, and return to your family.
